Step One


Make sure that you cupcakes are cooled completely. If they are even just a bit warm, the frosting will begin to melt. This is truly the most important step to the entire process of how to ice a cupcake.


Step Two


Make sure that you have more frosting then you think that you are going to need. Creating a nice swirl on top of each of your baked treats is going to take a decent amount of frosting to do.
